Causes We Care About

Deltek and our employees rally around causes that matter – and one of those causes near and dear to us is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. Team Deltek is committed to LLS's efforts to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma – and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

Earlier this year, Team Deltek was presented with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Lifetime Achievement Award for our continuous support of LLS. "On behalf of Deltek’s employees, it is an honor to be recognized by LLS for our years of support with their organization and our involvement in Light the Night,” said Ed Hutner, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Deltek.

In recognition of Blood Cancer Awareness Month, we expanded our support of this organization's important work. Thank you to Deltek Project Nation for joining our philanthropic efforts by attending a special performance by actor, musician and LLS supporter Charles Esten; and donating to LLS through G2 product reviews.

Light the Night With Team Deltek

Since 2014, Deltek employees have participated in numerous Light the Night walks, an annual LLS fundraising event that has resulted in Team Deltek raising more than $340,000 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

 “Cancer affects every one of us, in one way or another. The LLS organization has been so incredibly important because of the hope and support they provide to families going through the blood cancer journey. They are fighting hard to fund new treatments, find new therapies and are making remarkable strides on many fronts,” shared Jason Bagshaw, Sales Manager and avid LLS supporter.

Teaming Up With Charles Esten

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was also be a big part of Virtual Deltek Insight this year. As part of our annual user conference we we hosted a special customer appreciation performance by Charles Esten at Celebrate Insight! Best known for his roles on the NETFLIX global hit show Outer Banks and ABC/CMT’s Nashville, he has headlined multiple tours around the world and currently holds a Guinness World Record for releasing 54 original songs, one per week, for 54 consecutive weeks!

Esten has been a long-time LLS supporter and Light the Night Honorary Chair. Each year, Charles Esten leads Team Addie, who walks together as part of Light the Night, in honor of his daughter, who survived leukemia when she was 2 ½  years old − and has been cancer-free for more than 18 years. This year Deltek will be making a $10,000 donation to LLS to honor Team Addie as part of this exclusive concert and conversation with Charles.

Team Deltek is proud to bring awareness to causes like blood cancer research and education, as well as support to organizations like LLS–but we can't do it alone.
