Recently, we've talked with a couple of these partners about how they use AI and their philosophy around using the technology.
Like Deltek, AI is a central part of their innovation strategy. They're incorporating Agentic AI to help our customers work more efficiently and effectively. They have also deployed AI solutions that work with unstructured data, a great option for fighting fraud.
AI is a Tech Priority
According to our just-released 2025 Deltek Government Contracting Clarity Industry Study, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) remain the top technology priorities for digital strategy investments. Two-fifths of respondents (40%, a 6% increase over last year) ranked AI among their top three priorities.
"This year, more respondents report actively using AI, which is a shift from last year, where a higher percentage were planning to adopt AI in the future. Investments in AI and automation align with the Trump Administration's prioritization of innovation and technology-enabled efficiency."
AI is increasingly being leveraged to augment operations, automate workflows, and enhance process optimization efforts within this sector.
Here are two GovCon-focused Marketplace Partners that leverage AI to help our joint customers innovate purposefully.
Vroozi: Using AI to Bring Speed & Cost Savings to Procurement
Vroozi offers an AI-powered digital catalog marketplace that helps companies centralize their procurement processes. Vroozi built an integration into Costpoint to support a supplier catalog and support punch-out and hosted catalogs. Employees can easily search, shop, and order from approved suppliers while ensuring compliance.
Since joining the Deltek Marketplace last fall, Vroozi has onboarded three large Costpoint customers. “It’s been a great partnership. We’ve been introduced to many large government contractors that can truly benefit from our solution,” says Shaz Khan, Vroozi’s co-founder. The integration with Costpoint enhances the procurement experience for Deltek customers.
Vroozi avoids using AI as a buzzword for marketing. “We focus on AI for purpose rather than AI for marketing,” Shaz emphasizes.
Vroozi’s AI layer was designed first, leveraging AI and machine learning to automate the accounts payable process. “We transformed the AP process from handwashing a car to creating a car wash where everything is automated,” Shaz explains.
Next, Vroozi aimed to create an Amazon-like shopping experience for procurement staff and end users. The platform offers selections based on user roles, company location and procurement filters. “For example, if I search for a battery, the AI engine will show me the lowest priced batteries, similar items and those that align to corporate objectives,” Shaz adds.
Vroozi’s AI is designed to assist, not replace, humans. “You don’t want AI to order 10 new laptops,” Shaz clarifies. Instead, Vroozi uses Agentic AI to guide IT staff in finding the right laptops at the best price, asking questions and suggesting alternatives based on user needs.
Hyland: Fighting Fraud with AI
Hyland offers OnBase, a content management system that automates document capture, workflow, and management. Integrated with Deltek Costpoint for AP, AR and requisition processes, Hyland is a trusted partner for Deltek's largest GovCon clients with complex business needs.
While Hyland's automation has solutions that help match invoices to vendors and statements of work, they've taken it a step further with AI to look at unstructured data. This is a key development as plenty of invoice material can't be encapsulated on a checkbox list.
It's often the details in unstructured data that provide critical information for anything from the possibility of a fraudulent invoice (or portion of an invoice) to key details about work done that need to be captured and analyzed. Hyland Sr. Product Manager Nabih Metri was quick to point out that Hyland doesn’t stop at OCR scanning or basic text extraction – it builds on them. A PDF, for instance, needs context – from the subject line to the attached documents – so it can be analyzed in totality.
Nabih offered an example: A company hires a contractor to repair air conditioning units. The vendor is approved, and the invoice number matches the work order. But Hyland goes a step further by using AI to study the documentation – the description of existing units, new units ordered, pictures of the old broken units and hours spent on the job. It will flag anything it thinks is fraudulent, such as a number of hours being twice what the vendor said it would take or a mismatch between the recent equipment pictures and those taken the last time the equipment was repaired.
Hyland's AI-enabled unstructured data offering is available in its Content Intelligence product line, part of the Content Innovation Cloud. This product can be used alongside OnBase, which is integrated with Deltek Costpoint.
