Connecting Through the Fourth Wall at Deltek’s Virtual Insight Conference

With only days to go before Virtual Deltek Insight 2020, I want to share how we will host meaningful connections that bring our customer community together from the safety of their desks. Every year, Deltek Insight brings together thousands of like-minded professionals to exchange ideas, make new connections and have some fun. By pivoting our customer conference to a virtual format, we have the opportunity to reach more of Deltek Project Nation around the globe. Without the benefit of the physicality of a meeting space, the intellectual and emotional connections people value when gathering together face-to-face now need to happen in a new and exciting way. Let me explain how we hope the virtual Insight experience will break through the fourth wall — your computer screen — that serves as our main stage on September 15-16.
Direct and Live Access to Expert Knowledge
Powering project success for our customers means providing timely updates on what’s important to their business. This year, we are making our content and experts accessible in unprecedented ways. The Insight event platform will have a robust and intuitive interface to make it easy to seek out and engage our teams in real-time. Not only will attendees have access to 350+ sessions led by Deltek experts and customer peers, they will also be able to chat online with domain experts and other attendees in our XPO Hall and via live 1-on-1 Meet-The-Expert video sessions.
Community Connections: Networking with #DeltekProjectNation
Meeting with like-minded project professionals is one of the highlights of attending Insight so we’re making this happen virtually! Beginning September 10, registered attendees can access the Directory feature in the event platform to find other attendees by name to schedule virtual meetings and to connect via Twitter and LinkedIn.
Insight is also about gathering best practices from other peer companies so we have many sessions ‘by customers, for customers.’ To find these peer-to-peer sharing sessions, visit the Session Catalog and filter by Customer Success Story. And, per our annual tradition, we will celebrate the best examples of customers-in-action when we recognize outstanding customer achievements during our MVP (Most Valuable Projects) Awards session.
Not all connections are about work and its always important to have some fun when we are together. We will host a virtual hang-out at the Deltek Project Nation’s Got Talent Competition. This special event will feature the hottest talents from our own customer community who will be evaluated by our celebrity judges, our favorite country duo, LOCASH. Tune in and check out the remarkable performances from your peers and see who LOCASH selects as the winner of the $2500 top prize!
Listening & Learning About Timely Topics
The on-going global pandemic coupled with the current social justice movement, has employees and organizations seeking insights and expert guidance. Our event is a great gathering for facilitating and encouraging discussion on these issues to help to bring forth positive change to the workplace.
To drive the discussion on diversity and growth, we are excited to welcome to the Insight mainstage, global workforce expert, Dr. Shirley Davis, to share her research and expertise on embracing the changing nature of our workforce.
Beyond diversity and inclusion issues, the current health pandemic is challenging us, both professionally and personally. Mike Robbins, author and leadership expert, will speak on ideas and techniques to help manage stress and enhance resiliency.
