Top 5 Reasons to Upgrade Maconomy 2.5.1
Earlier this month Deltek released Maconomy 2.5.1 bringing enhancements for project managers, finance professionals, employees and system administrators/IT. While there’s a lot of great new functionality, here’s the top five highlights from the release.
#1 - New Project Dashboard!
For project managers, there is a new native projects dashboard providing instant visibility into key project metrics. The dynamic layout changes depending on the job type so you can ensure the most critical information is front and center for your teams on the go. What if you want to adjust the dashboard? No problem - using Maconomy’s flexible extension framework you can change the chart types, format, size or color of the key performance indicators and pull data in from various sources.
#2 - More Instant Chat!
We’ve brought the “Instant Chat” functionality introduced in the Maconomy 2.4.5 release for vendor invoice allocation to other areas within Maconomy. Instant Chat is now available for Invoice Selection, Invoice Editing, Approval Center, Blanket Invoicing and Batch Invoicing. We’ve also enhanced the chat so you can link the conversation to the job instead of just the invoice for easing auditing. Track conversations more efficiently - mark a message as unread or unsubscribe from notifications in the Message Center. Instant Chat is available in both the iAccess and Workspace Client interfaces so your teams can chat more and email less.
#3 - Swipe left for Approvals!
For all of our Touch mobile app users, we’ve made life easier for approvers. In one swipe, you can approve or reject an item. This new simplified workflow also provides an option to approve batches of items. This means less clicking and more time for your managers to focus on what matters most - delivering profitable projects.
#4 - Even More Automations!

#5 - Vendor E-Mail Remittances!
You asked and we delivered! Many customers are required to prove that vendor invoices were paid within the payment terms. Previously, this was a manual process within Maconomy - searching for the vendor, exporting the remittance to Excel and then emailing the vendor. Now, you can save time by quickly queue this up in an email to the vendor.
