Here's what's new.
New: Insights in Specpoint Help Bring Potential Issues into View
Insights in Specpoint bring another layer of intelligence to specification review. It analyzes project specification content and can surface potential coordination issues, missing related requirements and other inconsistencies that may warrant a closer look.
For example, a specification may reference a related requirement that hasn't been included in the project. Or a product type may be referenced in one part of a section without related content appearing elsewhere. Finding those relationships manually can require navigating across interconnected content and determining whether a potential inconsistency is intentional.
Insights help bring those potential issues into view. Importantly, the goal isn't to automatically change specification content or replace professional judgment. Users remain in control of every decision. Insights surface a potential issue, and the user reviews the context and determines whether action is needed.
The result is a more focused approach to specification review: less time searching for potential issues and more time applying expertise where it matters.
The New Specpoint Workspace Moves Beyond Beta
The new Specpoint workspace is now out of beta, giving users greater confidence in using it for their projects and making it easier to adopt the modern Specpoint experience. The goal is simple: give teams a modern environment for working with specification content while continuing to build toward greater consistency across the Specpoint experience.
For customers who have been waiting for the workspace to move beyond beta before adopting it more broadly, now is the time to start using it for new projects. As the workspace continues to evolve, additional functionality and enhancements will support the way teams work with their specifications.
Continue Building and Maintaining Your Office Master
The Office Master workspace provides a dedicated environment for working with office-level specification content. Teams can load, review and edit content as they develop and maintain their Office Master, helping create a stronger foundation for the specification content used across projects. Additional functionality gives teams more ways to manage and maintain the content that supports their organization's specifications.
More Flexibility with Best Practices
We've also continued to enhance Best Practices, expanding support for the ways teams identify and carry forward their preferred content.
Best Practices help organizations capture the content decisions and standards that matter to them, making it easier to apply that knowledge consistently as specifications are developed and maintained. This quarter's enhancements continue to close gaps around the types of content that can be supported through Best Practices, giving teams greater flexibility when defining and applying their organization's preferred approaches.
A More Modern Specpoint Experience
We're also beginning to introduce user interface enhancements across Specpoint.
The first updates focus on modernizing the workspace experience, including updates to visual elements such as the header, fonts and icons.
While these changes don't alter the way users navigate or work within Specpoint, they represent the beginning of a broader effort to create a more consistent and modern experience across Deltek products. Additional enhancements will continue to be introduced over time.
