Pride at Deltek

Celebrating Diversity, Equity & Inclusion In All That We Do

As a global company with over 4,000 employees working in more than a dozen countries, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) remain vital to Deltek's values. We are proud of the inclusive culture we've created; however, we also know there is still more work to do.

As we continue to see challenges and barriers impacting historically marginalized populations, including people of color, LGBTQ+, and individuals with disabilities, Deltek remains steadfast in our efforts to champion and support our diverse workforce and inclusively engage with our customers.

Empowering Our Employees

At Deltek, we foster a supportive and inclusive environment where employees feel safe to learn, grow and thrive together—encouraging mutual respect, personal development and the celebration of individual strengths.

We are making our workplace more inclusive through our established Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), designed to support and foster stronger allyship. ERGs are safe spaces where employees can promote inclusion and allyship, share experiences, engage in programming that supports their personal and professional development, raise awareness of relevant issues and identify opportunities to help with business challenges. Over the last few years, our ERGs have expanded to 10 groups that support various communities across many primary and secondary dimensions of diversity, life stages and causes.

These ERGs have become a critical platform, especially with a distributed workforce, and key to fostering open, transparent and heartfelt conversations. They have also become a way to engage in meaningful discussions through educational sessions on topics such as Black History Month, Women’s History Month and Hispanic Heritage Month. In addition, we have engaged in programming that celebrates military veterans, Juneteenth and Earth Day. Through these powerful sessions, employees continue to learn about the ongoing challenges their colleagues may be experiencing and how they can be more supportive allies.

By embracing our differences, including age, culture, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, disabilities and veteran status, and our employees' life experiences and ideas, we strengthen our ties as #TeamDeltek and better serve our increasingly diverse customer community.

Our Ongoing Commitment

Deltek is committed to creating a workplace that our employees and customers can be proud of. This is why it is important to us that each member of Deltek Project Nation understands they will be treated with respect, inclusivity and appreciation and that every employee has the opportunity to pursue their professional interests and grow their careers.

Our commitment can be seen in how we support our customers and develop our project-based solutions, from incorporating gender pronouns into our email signatures to removing exclusive language from software code that may have a negative connotation.

Deltek also understands that to create quality software, we must embrace different ways of thinking and employ staff to challenge our beliefs. We can enhance innovation through the unique identities, experiences and perspectives that our diverse employees bring to work each day. By encouraging diversity of thought and investing in inclusive recruiting and hiring practices, we are confident that we will attract, develop and retain top talent to deliver on our mission of powering project success.

As we continue this DEI journey, we are committed to taking intentional actions for more diverse representation across our company. These actions will help position #TeamDeltek to perform at its very best in a culture where we have an equal opportunity to belong, advance and thrive.

Having Pride at Deltek

In celebration of June being Pride Month, we are honored to recognize our LGBTQ+ employees and how far we've come in creating a diverse and inclusive workplace culture where all our employees feel valued, included and empowered. Pride Month is more than just an annual observance; it's an opportunity to drive awareness and visibility of important things to us as individuals.

This year, we are hosting a number of virtual and in-person festivities, including events focused on building connections, such as a movie viewing and discussion, and a karaoke event. We also have events focused on education, such as LGBTQ+ history and an empowerment session on allyship.

While Pride Month has existed for more than 50 years and commemorates the contributions the LGBTQ+ community has made to society, we are proud that Deltek has pride all year long—and we show it by recognizing and embracing our uniqueness every day. We support and empower our employees to be themselves without fear of discrimination and have made the conscious choice to increase awareness, acknowledge our differences and set the example for project-based businesses.
