Great Cultures Don't Happen by Accident

Summary

Strong workplace cultures are built through intentional investments in employee growth, leadership development, and everyday experiences. Deltek's commitment is reflected in award-winning programs like LEAD2 and its Global Mentoring Program, which support leadership readiness and career mobility. Employee-driven workplace recognitions further validate a culture grounded in trust, opportunity, and continuous learning. The result is an environment where employees can grow, contribute, and lead with confidence.

Every company talks about culture. You'll find the word on career sites, in job descriptions, and throughout recruiting conversations. But culture isn't defined by what a company says — it's defined by what employees experience every day.

Great cultures are built through intentional investments in people, growth, and opportunity. They're shaped by leaders who invest in development, colleagues who share their knowledge, and teams that create an environment where employees can do their best work.

The strongest workplace cultures aren't created overnight. They're built one conversation, one learning opportunity, and one career milestone at a time.

Growth by Design

Career growth thrives when employees have opportunities to learn, expand their skills, and receive support from leaders who are invested in their success. That's why Deltek has built programs designed to help employees grow at every stage of their careers.

Most recently, that commitment to leadership development was recognized with two 2026 Brandon Hall Group™ HCM Excellence Awards®: a Silver award for our Leadership Exploration and Discovery 2 (LEAD2) program, and a Bronze award for our Global Mentoring Program. Both honors reflect the impact these initiatives have had on leadership development, mentoring, and career growth across our global workforce.

LEAD2 helps emerging leaders build the critical skills they need as they step into people-leadership roles, while the Global Mentoring Program connects high-performing employees with experienced mentors who help them expand their networks, develop new capabilities, and prepare for future opportunities. Together, the two programs support leadership readiness, encourage internal mobility, and help employees build meaningful career paths.

"Leadership isn't something we leave to chance at Deltek. With programs like LEAD2 and Global Mentoring, we're deliberately building the next generation of leaders from within, to make sure they're ready when the opportunity comes."

— Tracy Schampers, EVP & Chief Legal and Administrative Officer

But the programs themselves are only part of the story. What matters most is the confidence, skills, and connections employees gain along the way — the things that let them learn, lead, and grow throughout their careers.

Culture Is Built Every Day

Development programs play an important role, but culture is shaped by something bigger: everyday experience.

It's built when managers invest in coaching conversations, when colleagues share knowledge and expertise, and when employees are encouraged to explore new opportunities, contribute fresh ideas, and take on new challenges. Culture takes shape through the moments that help people feel supported, trusted, and connected to a larger purpose.

That's why we're focused on an employee experience that extends beyond formal programs. We want employees to feel empowered to grow their careers, contribute their unique perspectives, and do meaningful work alongside talented colleagues around the world.

When those experiences are consistent across teams, functions, and geographies, culture becomes more than something we talk about — it becomes something employees can feel.

When Employees Have a Voice

This year, Deltek was named a 2026 Top Workplace in the Washington, D.C. region and earned Great Place To Work® certification in both India and the Philippines. What makes these recognitions particularly meaningful is that they're based on employee feedback and real workplace experience.

Employees shared their perspectives on trust, support, growth opportunities, and workplace experience. Across different regions, functions, and career stages, the feedback told a consistent story: people value environments where they can grow, contribute, and feel connected to their work. That validation matters because it reflects the voices of the people who experience our culture every day.

Every office and team has its own dynamics, but we're committed to fostering a culture grounded in trust, opportunity, and continuous growth across our global workforce.

Beyond the Recognition

The real measure of success isn't the awards — it's employees gaining new skills, stepping into leadership opportunities, building valuable relationships, and growing their careers in ways they might not have imagined when they first joined us.

That's why we're proud of what we've earned this year. The Brandon Hall awards reflect our investment in leadership development and mentoring; our Top Workplace and Great Place To Work recognitions reflect what employees told us about their day-to-day experience. Together, they reinforce something we've always believed: when people are given opportunities to learn, connect, and grow, they can achieve extraordinary things.

We're proud of the people whose experiences made these recognitions possible. Their growth, contributions, and success stories are the clearest reflection of who we are and what we're building together.
