With TIP 10.20, we're introducing Ask Dela, bringing Deltek's AI capabilities directly into the TIP Technologies experience for the first time.

Ask Dela in TIP allows users to ask questions in natural language and receive trusted, cited answers from documents stored within the Document Management module. Instead of searching through procedures or interrupting colleagues for routine guidance, users receive clear answers backed by source documentation, while existing role-based security ensures information remains available only to authorized users.

The result is faster access to trusted knowledge, fewer interruptions, and more time focused on quality, manufacturing, and production activities.

Compliance-Readiness by Default

In A&D manufacturing, audit readiness isn't something teams prepare for occasionally — it's something they need to maintain every day.

One important example is AS13004A, the aerospace industry's standard for Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA). The standard helps manufacturers consistently identify and evaluate process risks while producing documentation that meets supplier and customer expectations during audits.

TIP 10.20 delivers FMEA enhancements aligned with AS13004A, making it easier for quality teams to produce audit-ready outputs. The release introduces compliant Risk Priority Number (RPN) calculations, an enhanced grid with hierarchical grouping and auto-merging, and direct export to the AS13004 PFMEA template.

Instead of spending valuable time manually reworking spreadsheets before supplier or customer audits, quality teams can generate audit-ready FMEAs directly from TIP — reducing manual effort, improving consistency, and increasing confidence in every deliverable.

Planning engineers can now create and manage host-managed part routings directly within TIP. With support for date-effective operation steps and automatic synchronization back to ERP systems, teams can manage manufacturing plans and routing changes from a single environment while reducing unnecessary system switching.

Update Records Without Restarting Workflows

Correcting information on an active Non-Conformance (NC) or Corrective Action (CA) record no longer has to mean reversing the entire approval process. TIP 10.20 allows authorized users to update configured fields while preserving approvals and maintaining a complete audit trail, helping quality teams resolve issues faster with fewer workflow disruptions.

Simplify Data Management

Data Segment Labels can now be customized based on context, allowing organizations to use meaningful labels across different workflows without creating duplicate master data. The result is cleaner configuration, greater reporting consistency, and a more intuitive experience for end users.

Improve Shop Floor Performance

TIP Shop Floor Execution (TIPSFE) now supports pagination for large datasets, replacing infinite scrolling with faster, more responsive data loading. Whether supervisors are reviewing work orders or operators are navigating large result sets, the enhancement improves performance while creating a smoother user experience.

Individually, these enhancements may seem incremental. Together, they remove many of the workarounds that slow quality and manufacturing teams every day — helping users spend less time working around the system and more time moving work forward.
