What the Deltek + ComputerEase Story Means for Contractors

By now you’ve heard the news that Deltek has acquired ComputerEase. I know you may have some questions, so I would like to share why I am so excited and energized by this change. This acquisition is a strategic step forward for ComputerEase, for Deltek, and for our current and future customers.

We carefully selected a home that preserves the values at the heart of this business so that we can offer the same ComputerEase products that our customers know, but with greater functionality and more rapid development and deeper support.

In the Beginning

I have a lengthy history with ComputerEase, and it began long before I was a member of the ComputerEase team. I was ready for a new challenge when the opportunity to join the ComputerEase team surfaced. I was a user and a controller first, struggling with many of the same challenges our customers do. I’ve been in their seat and have a deep understanding of what it takes to operate successfully in this industry.

That was 20 years ago. I have been a dedicated member of this community for most of my career, and that is why I was happy when we started to discuss the terms of acquisition with Deltek. I see this as the next natural step in the evolution of our solution and could not have found a more appropriate permanent home for this product and this team. I look forward to continuing to serve as an industry leader while steering the Deltek + ComputerEase ship.

Deltek + ComputerEase:  A Natural Fit

Deltek has a 36-year history in the AEC industry and is just as committed as I and the ComputerEase team have always been. With Deltek + ComputerEase’s combined resources, we will be able to provide more focus.

We now have a dedicated User Experience/User Interface team to help us make our products easier to use than ever before. We will continue to partner with the companies and integrate to the products that our customers use to drive their businesses forward.

Looking to the Future

Deltek + ComputerEase presents new opportunities for the future and for our customers. I am excited to work with our team to develop a product roadmap that addresses many of the needs our customers have expressed and deploy it faster than we have been able to do it in the past. Faster than our competitors who struggle to secure the resources to deliver cutting edge technology and feature enhancements.

We have joined an experienced team who have a deep understanding of how to develop and deploy pragmatic innovation that customers can use to increase profits margins, improve efficiencies, and drive faster growth. In an industry where nearly 40% of firms do not survive beyond the first five years, I think you can see why I find this so exhilarating. To learn more about the product roadmap, be sure to register for our Deltek + ComputerEase Town Hall.

"In an industry where nearly 40% of firms do not survive beyond the first five years, I think you can see why I find this so exhilarating. "

Our approach at ComputerEase has always been to put the customer first. As Deltek + ComputerEase we understand that being a great company has everything to do with our relationship with our customers and our partners and dealers. We will continue to improve our practices and strive to be easy to do business with every day.
