Increasing User Efficiency with the Latest Release of Deltek ComputerEase

The latest release of Deltek ComputerEase delivers a series of new features built to streamline processes, improve data visibility, and offer continued innovation to our users. Additionally, many of these enhancements come from customer ideas submitted through the Deltek Idea Portal, a destination for sharing feedback directly with our product management team. Read on to learn about the many exciting features included in the ComputerEase 24.1 release.

AUTOMATE INVOICE ENTRY

Automation is key to saving time and reducing redundant processes. With ComputerEase, users can now leverage Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) for Accounts Payable Invoices, saving time and reducing manual entry errors. Scan invoice files and auto-populate data directly in ComputerEase with ICR in a fraction of the time it would normally take to manually enter information from paper or digital invoices. ICR can already be found in ComputerEase Field for simplified expense capture, and now with ICR for Accounts Payable (AP) Invoices, this technology can be leveraged by even more users.

IMPROVE DATA VISIBILITY

Say goodbye to switching back and forth between views to find the accounts payable information you need. ComputerEase users will now have access to AP details directly from the Job Cost Detail Report, with the ability to drill down into invoices, view attachments and even make edits. This enhancement brings greater efficiency to project managers and accounting personnel who track job costs and simplifies data accessibility.

ENHANCE PAYMENT EFFICIENCY

Tracking payments is easier than ever in ComputerEase with new features designed to eliminate the need for AP users to hunt down past payment details. Payment method tracking has been improved by including payment method details directly in AP reports, helping to streamline the process of identifying where and how a payment was made. Additionally, users can now reprint AP stubs, making for effortless regeneration of transmittals if a vendor needs a stub reprint and alleviating the need to maintain paper copies of documents.

By listening to our customers and integrating feedback into our product roadmaps, we’re proud to deliver user-centric solutions focused on the preferences and interests of the ComputerEase customer. In addition to many of the features outlined above, we have even more enhancements included in this release that are the result of customer requests.

Based on user feedback, we’ve streamlined payroll management by creating a new Direct Deposit Setup Report for confirming employee payment accuracy and also added payroll periods directly into the payroll register header for easier pay period identification. Other customer-suggested enhancements include improved attachment viewing, the ability to create independent time-based tolerance levels for Field users, options for automatically following General Ledger hierarchies in expenses, and more.
