When Passion Meets Purpose: A Look Back at Team Deltek's Volunteer Efforts
As the year comes to a close, we reflect on the incredible ways our employees have contributed to causes they are passionate about. Through their volunteer efforts, they’ve transformed compassion into meaningful action, creating lasting change.
Whether it's cleaning up local parks, donating blood or helping children in need, #TeamDeltek has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to its local communities. These acts of service not only have a positive impact on others but also provide our employees with a profound sense of purpose and connection to the values we share as an organization.
Deltek’s Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program empowers employees to dedicate work hours to these important causes. We are proud to offer this VTO opportunity to our more than 4,000 employees worldwide and are honored by their dedication to making a difference.
Causes We Care About
River Park Clean Up – Marikina City, Philippines
"As a member of Deltek’s Global Green ERG, I used my VTO hours this year to participate in the River Park Clean Up Day in Marikina City, Philippines. Seeing the area frequently in the news due to critical water levels, especially during recent typhoons, motivated me to support the rehabilitation efforts. This Earth Day activity, sponsored by the Philippine Site Council, aimed to raise awareness about climate change, environmental health, conservation and waste management. Contributing to this cause, even in a small way, felt incredibly rewarding and impactful."

Lions Club Blood Drive – Bangalore, India
"One of the great benefits Deltek offers its employees is a day off dedicated to volunteering and giving back − something I am very passionate about. Recently, I attended a Blood Donation Drive in South Bangalore, aiming to collect blood from 150 donors. With my family's long-term association with the Lion's Club, who organized the drive, it felt natural to take the initiative and support this life-saving cause. Being part of such a meaningful effort in our community was very fulfilling to me."

Chari-Tee Golf Tournament – Leesburg, VA
"The Jackson Walsh Foundation was established in 2020 after the tragic loss of my good friend's 17-month-old grandson. This special organization raises awareness, resources and funds to help combat Sudden Unexplained Deaths in Childhood (SUDC). I recemtly used my Deltek VTO hours to support and participate in their Chari-Tee Golf Tournament. Through this event and other fundraising efforts I’ve participated in, they have raised more than $250,000 for generic research to help predict and prevent future deaths."

Rio Lagartos Nature Preserve – El Cuyo, Mexico
"As someone who is dedicated to helping the environment, I’m proud to have used my VTO hours to clean-up the Rio Lagartos Nature Preserve in El Cuyo. This small remote fishing village is on the coast of Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, and where I also live part time. Due to its location, El Cuyo gets the brunt of plastic trash that strong currents and wind bring. The plastic debris is everywhere, including the areas where turtles nest and flamingos breed. Clean-up here is a grass-roots activity, organized by residents to do our little part by removing plastic containers, fishing wire, nets, rope, shoes and a myriad of trash bags from the beach."

Buy a Tree Change a Life – Bradenton, FL
"Each year, I look forward to volunteering at our church's Buy a Tree Change a Life event; it is such a heartwarming experience. During the holiday season, I used my Deltek VTO hours to sell more than 40 Christmas trees with my wife in our community of Bradenton, Florida. I'm grateful to donate my time to this annual event, where 100% of the proceeds go to support children in our local community and Cambodia. Together with the People for Care and Learning (PCL) organization, it is one of several fundraisers we support to help break the cycle of poverty. Knowing that our efforts contribute to community development makes this initiative incredibly meaningful to us."
Kevin Moreland, part of Deltek's Cloud Operations team since 2024
Far Eastern University – Makati, Philippines
"Returning to Far Eastern University in Manila, where I earned my undergrad degree in Applied Mathematics, has been incredibly fulfilling. As an alumnus, I understand the challenges these college students face in transitioning to the IT industry. Through our free Software Development advisory services, we help the members of the Math Society enhance their projects and gain confidence in pursuing IT careers. Thanks to Deltek’s VTO, I can contribute to guiding the next generation of software developers, quality engineers and project managers."
