Deltek Pulse: Education month in review, January 2017
The month of January had the largest number of solicitations released since June 2016, with 17% more solicitations released compared to December 2016. The Higher Education vertical is producing almost the same amount of solicitations as the Primary/Secondary Education vertical, with Primary/Secondary Education producing 51% of total solicitations released and Higher Education producing 49%. Professional Services was a primary requirement associated with 60% of the solicitations released in December, where Information Technology was a primary requirement associated with 40%. The vertical and primary requirements breakdown is very similar to the breakdown in December. In January, Texas released the most solicitations, and Delaware released the least.
Notable Solicitation Releases:
- The University of Wisconsin released a request for proposals for a Digital Learning Environment to replace its existing learning management system. Proposals are due by February 28, 2017.
- The State of Oregon has a requirement for The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Data Manager Application for the development of a data reporting application that supports collection, validation, analyzation and submittal of timely and accurate data to the federal government for child/student level data. Proposals are due by February 23, 2017.
- The state of Iowa has a requirement for eScholar Software Support and Licensing. Bids are now being evaluated.
