The month of October had a 2 percent increase in solicitations released compared to September. This is good news, since this is the first increase in solicitations released seen since May of this year. The Higher Education vertical is producing more solicitations than the Primary/Secondary Education vertical, with Higher Education accounting for 54 percent of total solicitations released this month. Professional Services was a primary requirement associated with 63 percent of the solicitations released in October, while Information Technology was a primary requirement associated with 37 percent of bids.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The Kentucky Department of Education released a solicitation for services to provide, support administration of, score and report the common Kindergarten Readiness Screener. Proposals are due on November 18, 2016.
  • New York City has a requirement for a comprehensive, web-based Student Enrollment Management System (SEMS). Proposals are due on December 1, 2016.
