Through quarterly Town Halls and ongoing customer feedback, we continue to learn what matters most as teams explore the new interface and the new Command Center. Many of you have shared similar questions and ideas, and we want to make sure everyone benefits from those answers. Here’s a quick roundup of what we’re hearing - and what Deltek is doing to address it.

Access and Visibility

Some customers have asked how to enable the new Costpoint UI or locate the Command Center. Once the Administrator activates the new UI, users have the ability to toggle between the classic and the new interface by changing the flag in the User Preferences screen. Access to the Command Center is given to users by the Administrator. If the user does not see data, see KB#67644 for troubleshooting tips.

Setup and Data Availability

A few teams noticed that the Command Center appears blank or missing projects.

This typically relates to filters or project assignments. The Command Center displays data based on configured criteria, so verifying project security settings and BI configurations usually resolves the issue.

BI Integration and Compatibility

The Command Center works hand-in-hand with Costpoint Business Intelligence, powered by Cognos. If BI content hasn’t been deployed or is restricted, some visuals may not appear. Please work with your BI administrator or Deltek representative to confirm integration and access.

Exports and Customization

Data export and dashboard flexibility are popular enhancement requests for the Command Center. Excel export and additional filters are already on the roadmap, and future updates will continue to expand customization options across role-based dashboards.

Security and Roles

The Command Center leverages Project Roles to determine what Projects they see in the Project Analyst Command Center. Administrators determine who can view and interact with the Command Center for their role.

Upgrade Timing for Deltek Cloud customers

Some cloud customers have asked when their organization will receive the latest version - or whether they can move up in the schedule. Upgrades are released in cohorts to ensure stability. You can check your timing in the Customer Care Portal or contact your Deltek representative for details.

Test Runner and Costpoint Extensibility Suite

Harmony compatibility with Test Runner and the Costpoint Extensibility suite of tools is a key focus. Test Runner has been updated to support Harmony. It can be expected that your Costpoint extensions will work, without issue, in the new Costpoint UI. Testing your extensions is always a good idea.
