Making Cybersecurity and Compliance a Priority with Costpoint GovCon Cloud Moderate

During these unpredictable and uncertain times, the security of your data is more important than ever. Federal mandates and regulations are coming to life at a fast rate and constantly evolving. Most recently, we saw the Department of Defense (DoD) roll out the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), which will affect government contractors going forward.

We are excited to announce that Deltek can now support your organization and the latest compliance requirements with our new Costpoint GovCon Cloud (GCC) Moderate offering. Deltek Costpoint, the industry-leading solution and cloud environment, introduces enhanced cybersecurity controls to help government contractors protect their data and meet strict federal compliance requirements. This new offering strengthens Deltek’s commitment to support both financial and cybersecurity compliance requirements for the government contracting industry. 

In an effort to support the industry’s increasing cybersecurity and compliance demands, Costpoint GCC Moderate allows government contractors to safely store Covered Defense Information (CDI) and ITAR data in the Deltek Cloud, eliminating the need and the cost for on premises equipment. Deltek has implemented controls to align with NIST standards, including 800-53 and CNSSI 1253 – in addition to, FedRAMP Moderate equivalent controls, which goes beyond the NIST 800-171 controls already in place to support Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) within the standard Costpoint cloud.

While we will support Deltek Project Nation throughout this cybersecurity and compliance journey, it is critical to keep in mind that our Costpoint GCC Moderate customers will own some of the shared responsibility to meet the FedRAMP Moderate control requirements as well. Therefore, it is imperative to understand what Deltek is doing, what you are responsible for doing, and what we need to do together.

Deltek is committed to bringing government contractors the most secure and reliable solutions to support their business needs. We’ve reviewed all the FedRAMP Moderate controls and identified areas where customers have some amount of responsibility for securing, managing, or interacting with the Costpoint Cloud Service. As you would expect from a software-as-a-service provider, Deltek covers approximately 75% of the required controls and shares in the responsibility of most of the remaining controls.
