In August, Deltek announced it was acquiring ComputerEase to provide current and future customers a powerful construction management solution. As the industry standard and leader in construction management and accounting solutions for contractors of all sizes, Deltek + ComputerEase provides a powerful portfolio of solutions for architecture, engineering and construction firms.

Deltek is dedicated to powering project success in the AEC industry, serving as a catalyst for digital transformation and market leadership for project-based solutions for 36 years. This acquisition is about more than software; it’s taking a good thing and making it even better. The family that started ComputerEase did a great job getting the product to where it is today. But to best serve their customers, ComputerEase needed to take their innovation further, with additional resources such as developers, designers and engineers. Trending technologies, such as GPS, sophisticated integrations and IoT were unreachable for ComputerEase, but now with Deltek, they can.

With change also comes consistency. John Meibers, who was the ComputerEase President for 22 years, continues to lead the ComputerEase charge and will do so for years to come. Meibers and the ComputerEase team is dedicated to offering customers the same great training and support that made the company what it is today. And now as a part of Deltek,  key strategic positions will be added to accelerate development, benefiting Deltek + ComputerEase customers, partners and employees with 24/7 support and the backing of more than 3,000 dedicated employees.

“I’m excited about [ComputerEase] getting a bigger pool of developers under the same leadership, John. User re-engagement is one of the most encouraging things about Deltek + ComputerEase that I’ve heard in years.”

David Gipe, Office Manager at Dalo Construction

Roper Technologies, Inc., who owns Deltek and by extension ComputerEase, has a verifiable history of acquiring great companies and investing in them for the long term.  One prime example of this is between Roper’s ownership of Deltek and ConstructConnect. The affiliation between Deltek and ConstructConnect is a strong example of our ability to use our network and AEC industry relationships.  Deltek itself has a thriving partner marketplace and a strategy around acquiring and developing strategic partnerships. Validating Deltek’s partnerships are driven by a desire to provide the end-user with as much value as possible.

While we do have shareholders, we also understand that being a great company has everything to do with our relationships with our customers, partners, dealers and associations. Deltek’s approach to business has always been to put the customer first. In doing so, we will continue to improve our practices and strive to be easy to do business with every day, focusing more intimately on our customers than ever and respecting the expert support provided by people who come from the industry.

“[Deltek + ComputerEase is] the most user-friendly system out there and I’ve used a lot of systems.”

Lesley Hammer, Controller at Sure Mechanical

ComputerEase is not the first product Deltek has acquired and supported, it is actually the twenty-first, which is why we can say with confidence that this is a strategic acquisition representing a partnership that will both improve the product and allow for significant investment. Deltek + ComputerEase has a strong roadmap that will deliver on key customer asks and provide the industry-leading technology to deliver successful jobs.

“For job cost accounting software, this is the best one out there. It’s in-depth, but simple. Easy to set up, easy to train on. I can help people with how to use it without seeing what they are looking at, that’s how simple it is.  I’d recommend this to any contractor and have over the years.”

Ed Roark, President of Bambeck & Vest

As this year comes to an end and we look at all we’ve been able to accomplish by bringing together Deltek + ComputerEase, we are excited to see what next year and beyond have to offer. Thank you for your trust and commitment to seeing where this journey takes us. Learn more about this partnership.
