Review of SpecText Q3 and Q4 2021 Updates

As we near the end of 2021, a review of the available SpecText and SpecText for e-SPECS updates that Deltek Specification solutions team has released is in order to ensure you are using the most up-to-date specifications to support your infrastructure, civil, water, or wastewater projects.

What’s New in SpecText Q3 2021

The SpecText 2021 Q3 Update is available to licensed SpecText customers for download from the Updates & Downloads section of the Deltek website.

Along with 28 Sections that have undergone specification coordination for compliance with MasterFormat® 2020 numbering and titling guidance, this release includes an important new addition to Division 25 of the SpecText library, 250516 HDPE Solid Wall Conduit for Power and Communication Applications.

250516 HDPE Solid Wall Conduit for Power and Communication Applications specifies requirements for coilable or straight length, solid wall high-density polyethylene (HDPE) conduit, innerduct, and duct ("conduit") for power and communications applications. Uses include telecommunications, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) command and control, highway lighting, intelligent transportation systems, and underground utilities. Installation types include plowing, trenching, and horizontal directional drilling.

What’s New in SpecText for e-SPECS Q3 2021

The SpecText for e-SPECS Q3 2021 update contains 29 sections with updated content. Cross references were updated to Divisions 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31, and 32. One new section was added for Division 25, section 250516 HDPE Solid Wall Conduit for Power and Communication Applications. The SpecText for e-SPECS Q3 2021 update applies to e‑SPECS versions 9.x. and later. If you are running an earlier version of e‑SPECS, contact your support representative to upgrade to a current version of e-SPECS before applying the SpecText update.

What’s New in SpecText Q4 2021

The SpecText 2021 Q4 Update is available to licensed SpecText customers for download from the Updates & Downloads section of the Deltek website.

This the last SpecText release of 2021. Within this update, 24 Sections have undergone specification coordination as well as minor revision so that files are more editable. In addition, manufacturers for 400563 Ball Valves and 400564 Butterfly Valves have been updated.

What's New in SpecText for e-SPECS Q4 2021

The SpecText for e-SPECS Q4 2021 Update is also available to licensed users.  The Q4 update provides content updates to Divisions 31, 33, 40, 41, 43, and 46. Please see the Release Notes for full details.
