Deltek MVP Awards

Throughout 2020 we saw amazing examples of how project-based business pivoted their operations to accommodate the ever-evolving landscape. We are proud to have been able to support our customers with the solutions needed to run their businesses more efficiently and effectively during these uncertain times.

How did you navigate the last year? What challenges did you overcome by using our innovative project-based solutions? Did you accelerate your digital transformation journey to position your company for success? If so, we want to hear your story.

Each year as part of Deltek Insight, we recognize the outstanding customer and partner achievements across the industries we serve with our MVP (Most Valuable Projects) Awards. Deltek’s MVP Awards showcase our customers’ success in improving business processes and performance, driving innovation, increasing profitability and winning new business ─ all while using a Deltek solution. We are honored to once again acknowledge this year’s winners and share their story with Deltek Project Nation at Virtual Insight 2021 on September 14.

Tips for an Award-Winning Submission

Winning nominations illustrate how project-based businesses have achieved outstanding success, consider incorporating the following tips into your Most Valuable Project submission to help your nomination rise to the top.

#1 Create a Nomination Plan

Plan before you start! Make sure you review the requirements and decide on your approach. Think through your project example and then map out how you will present it. Be sure to note all the relevant sections including your project’s mission, business challenges and strategic goals − along with your applicable award category and contact details requested in the MVP form.

Bonus Tip! If you plan to incorporate additional content from stakeholders be thoughtful − give contributors enough time to gather their input and provide the desired detail that will make your nomination a front-runner!

#2 Provide the Judges Context to Your Story

Make your nomination stand out! One way to do that is by ensuring your submission has a clear and compelling story. Include background information and industry references that provide the necessary context for our judges. Be sure to reference particular details like your project scope, implementation timeline or business benefits – this will enhance your story and make it easier to understand.

Bonus Tip! Consider highlighting a variety of perspectives – doing this will convey a collaborative approach and provide a well-rounded view of your Most Valuable Project.

#3 Highlight Your Project’s Impact With Metrics

Include evidence to support your project success! An easy way to do this is with quantitative figures, qualitative anecdotes and descriptive examples of how you overcame your business challenges with Deltek’s industry-specific solutions. Make sure you share your return on investment – incorporate details such as increased win rates, decreased administrative work or employee time saved. Highlighting relevant KPIs will showcase how these improvements have powered your project-based business.

Bonus Tip! The judges need to have all the facts in front of them to be truly blown away by your accomplishments.

#4 Give Yourself Enough Time

We know running your project-based business is your priority and keeps you busy. The Deltek MVP Awards are a great opportunity to share what you've accomplished and showcase your success, so plan accordingly. Give yourself enough time to develop your nomination – don’t forget to gather your supporting information and get the necessary reviews and approvals before submitting.

Bonus Tip! Don’t wait till the final deadline – now’s the perfect time to share how Deltek is helping you deliver on your mission.
