Maconomy Essentials 2025.4 – Expanding Our New Era of Updatability

Following the successful rollout of Maconomy Essentials 2025.3, we’re delighted to announce the next step in our quarterly release program — Maconomy Essentials 2025.4.

This release continues our transition to a faster, more reliable, and continuously improving platform for our Essentials and Flex customers. Whether you are upgrading from Essentials 2025.3, migrating from 2.6.1 for the first time, or scheduled to move later in 2026, this release demonstrates the consistency and momentum of our new delivery model.

Where Customers Are in the Journey

We now have four customer groups in our Essentials and Flex community:

  1. Upgrading from Essentials 2025.3 → Essentials 2025.4
    – Customers from the first wave who joined the quarterly cadence are now receiving their first upgrade under the new model.
  2. Migrating from 2.6.1 → Essentials 2025.4
    – The second wave of customers are now moving to the new containerized platform, gaining access to the latest features, enhanced performance, and quarterly updates going forward.
  3. Waiting to migrate → Essentials 2026.1 (next year)
    – The third wave of Essentials customers will migrate early next year, continuing the rollout across all remaining environments.
  4. Flex customers migrating → Essentials 2026.2
    – Our Flex customers will follow in the fourth and final wave, moving to the new platform and quarterly release cadence in line with Essentials 2026.2.

Each group receives four weeks’ notice before sandbox/preview availability and at least two weeks of testing before their production upgrade.

  • Compact Mode: Labels and fields are aligned horizontally, allowing more information on screen.
  • Image Support: Add employee or project images for easy visual recognition.
  • Progress Charts: Graphical completion bars now available in key workspaces like Progress Evaluation and Pipeline.
  • Lazy Load for Workspaces: Faster load times as dialogs open only when needed.

  • Expanded access to project-level data, enabling deeper insights and more context-aware responses.
  • New document search capability allows Dela to reference customer-uploaded materials — such as policy documents or process guides.
  • Fully compliant with Maconomy’s access control model, ensuring users only see the data they’re permitted to view.

Staying the Course on Migration

  • Customers still on 2.6.1 will remain there until their scheduled migration, receiving only quarterly phase releases with bug fixes.
  • Once migrated, customers join the Essentials quarterly upgrade cadence, ensuring regular access to new functionality and improvements.
  • The Workspace Client will be retired in Q4 2026 — customers are encouraged to continue migrating users to the Web Client throughout 2025 for a smooth and low-risk transition.

Looking Ahead

The Essentials 2025.4 release marks another important milestone in our ongoing evolution toward continuous updatability. It reinforces that quarterly feature delivery is not just possible — it’s happening now, bringing immediate value through improved usability, stronger AI capabilities, and enhanced planning tools.

The next release, Essentials 2026.1, will follow in the new year, continuing to build on this foundation and bringing further innovation to our Essentials and Flex customers alike.
