What’s New in Vantagepoint? Automated Financial Management, Simplified Business Development, Better Project Planning and More
Automating manual bank imports, simplifying purchase orders, improving resource management, streamlining client management and simplifying proposal development are just a few of the many new features and enhancements in the latest Vantagepoint release. This release includes improvements for every user and is full of usability enhancements that make it easier to power project success.
Over the next several weeks, the Deltek product management team will deliver an in-depth look at some of the recent new features and enhancements. Here are a few highlights of what’s new in Vantagepoint 4.5.
Automate Bank Feeds
Bank reconciliation processes are often manual and time consuming, which can lead to costly errors. Eliminate manual processes and improve accuracy for transactions with the new automatic bank feed. Accounting teams can simplify bank reconciliation with a direct connection to bank accounts through an integration with PLAID. The automatic feed updates nightly with recent transactions, saving hours for financial teams. NOTE: This is currently only available for Deltek Cloud customers and supports North American banks, but expanded bank support is coming soon!
Manage Purchase Orders More Easily
Vantagepoint users can now simplify the purchase order process with access to purchase orders from any browser. Users can quickly update purchase orders by adding vendors and attaching documents regardless of PO status. Purchase orders in the browser make it easier for teams to collaborate and streamline the PO process.
Improve Resource Planning Accuracy
Accurate, up-to-date project plans are critical for project success and now, with the latest release of Vantagepoint, it’s even easier for project managers to manage resources. Project managers can now redistribute planned hours. PMs can replace planned hours with actual hours and spread the difference or they can change planned hours within any date range. Teams can also save a resource view search for others to make it easier to find the right teams and resources for every project need.
Vantagepoint Connect: Now for Gmail
Improve how you nurture clients and pursuits with the new Vantagepoint Connect now available for Gmail. Business developers, marketers and project managers live in email and now it’s easier than ever to capture key client and business development data from Gmail for Vantagepoint CRM users. The contextual pane makes it easy to see what’s happening with a particular client – recent meetings, active projects and more without leaving Gmail. This new feature eliminates duplicate entry and improves collaboration around clients and pursuits. Vantagepoint Connect makes business development easier than ever. Build Proposals Faster
Vantagepoint CRM delivers the power to build impressive proposals and now proposals can be created in less time. It’s easier than ever to build better proposals with linking text elements. If you have more content than you can fit on a page, simply link the text box to another one to continue the flow of content without disrupting your proposal development. And, proposal teams can export directly to Microsoft Word, delivering more flexibility for content creation and improving collaboration with other team members and teaming partners.
More Detail at Your Fingertips
Vantagepoint delivers greater insight into every aspect of your business and the latest release builds on the power of that visibility. Vantagepoint users can now leverage a new accounts receivable (AR) detail base for dashboards, can take advantage of percentage data type calculated fields and drill into detail on direct and reimbursable consultants and expenses from the project base columns.
Just like previous releases, this release of Vantagepoint continues to focus on usability and delivers numerous usability enhancements.
Users can now select any combination of firms and contacts for projects; track revisions on draft invoice markups; track billing clients on posted AR and email multiple project roles from batch billing. Users will also see improvements in screen designer and improved performance for mobile apps. These are just some of the enhancements users can take advantage of in the latest release.
