Deltek Senior Director Pat Golden wins the Bronze CLO Learning In Practice Award for her accomplishments in applying innovative development practices to address significant business opportunities in Deltek University

HERNDON, Va. – Deltek, today announced that Senior Director of Deltek University, Pat Golden, has been awarded the Bronze CLO Learning In Practice award in the Innovation category by Chief Learning Officer (CLO) magazine. The winners of the 2013 Learning In Practice Awards were announced by Chief Learning Officer magazine during the Fall 2013 Chief Learning Officer Symposium. Established a decade ago to recognize transformational and visionary leaders in enterprise education, the coveted awards honor industry professionals who have demonstrated excellence in the design and delivery of employee development programs.

The national CLO Magazine awards are presented annually to individual learning practitioners, executives and organizations that have helped its own employee-base or clients and customers enhance performance and meet business objectives through outstanding learning initiatives. The judges for the awards represent a number of significant national corporations. Deltek was chosen as a winner in 2012 and 2013 by CLO Magazine.

Deltek University Sr. Director Pat Golden was awarded the Bronze Global CLO Learning In Practice Award for her initiative to apply innovative development practices to address significant business opportunities in Deltek University. Golden introduced a new curriculum structure that transformed legacy customer education courses taught from bulky manuals, into blended learning solutions that took advantage of the latest software simulation technology. Her innovation not only addressed the limitations of traditional, instructor-led delivery, but also revolutionized customer training through sound instructional frameworks and an improved learner experience.

“By spearheading the effort to convert legacy courses into blended learning solutions, Pat was able to address the limitations of traditional, instructor-led training delivery,” said Dan Carusi, VP of Deltek University. “At the same time, she ensured that DU’s customer training was founded on sound instructional frameworks, thereby improving learner experience. On behalf of Deltek, I’m proud to congratulate Pat for her accomplishments.”
