The talented, passionate, and highly knowledgeable members of the Deltek team have put forth an absolutely tremendous 16.0 release packed with exciting, new functionality that will assist customers in optimizing the productivity of their workforces. This release makes significant strides in our goals of strengthening our strategic partnerships as well as rounding out our HCM capabilities. While customers can find full details of all enhancements in the release notes, let’s discuss some of the key enhancements that will help you move your businesses forward.

Approaching the release in the order of the employee life cycle, 16.0’s Acquisition module introduces Talent Relationship Management. Customers will now be able to create recruitment campaigns to tout their brand and build relationships with talent in the marketplace, while proactively sourcing talent for upcoming openings. The ability to campaign and communicate with the candidate market and educate them on your business, culture, and future opportunities provides a strategic advantage to your stagnant market competitors. Additionally, Acquisition will contain workflow improvements as well as enhanced Onboarding management features.

Once candidates are hired, customers will be able to utilize Deltek Talent Management’s highly anticipated new Core HR module to manage employee data. The first release of this module includes effective dated fields, compliance reporting, newly added fields and new APIs. The ability to process hires, rehires, and terminations, as well as job changes are all a part of the 16.0 release.

Modernized Performance Management in order to fuel employee engagement and retention is at the forefront of Deltek Talent Management’s philosophy in product development. Performance customers will be thrilled with the all-new Continuous Goal Management functionality that allows the choice of managing goals independently of the appraisal cycle. Additionally, 16.0 significantly simplifies goal writing and removes the mandatory scoring requirement in appraisals.

The Learning module features ad-hoc learning requirements allowing for course and curriculum deadlines, recurrences and robust deadline offset options. Configurable education units and categories provides a new two-level process that replaces credits and CEUs and allows for flexibility on a per course basis, providing much needed depth for customers who need robust educational unit functionality for recertification eligibility tracking. Finally, although previously released, if you have not heard about our new partnership with Red Vector for e-learning content, this is a tremendous time to jumpstart your Learning function by acquiring our LMS and adding on the 130+ course Red Vector package that fuels project management, leadership, and HR and Compliance training and development.

The Deltek Reporting Tool features an all-new Manage Settings interface that greatly simplifies the tool administration process. Customers who must remain OFCCP compliant will enjoy the new Applicant Flow Log report. All customers will enjoy the enhanced Total Talent Profile and new Task Management system that allows for assigning “to do” items across the organization.
