Last week, the product management team hosted the quarterly town hall that highlighted several key updates on Vantagepoint, the next version of Vision. The quarterly town halls are an opportunity for Deltek users to get the latest information about their solutions, get tips and tricks from the experts and know what’s happening with Deltek. This is also an opportunity for you, the users, to get your questions answered by submitting your questions ahead of time.

During this quarter’s town hall, the product management team introduced the Vantagepoint dashboards, provided an update on the release timeline and outlined tips for what your company should do now to prepare for your upgrade to Vantagepoint.

This post includes a recap of some of town hall, but if you missed it, you can now watch it on demand at the link below.

An Introduction to Dashboards

In today’s world, information is king and your teams need to have the right information in front of the right people at the right time. But, how do you get the right information out of your solution, in a digestible format that is easy to consume for your users?

Ellen Keeley, director of product management, showcased the Vantagepoint dashboards, which provide a powerful and flexible tool to create dashboards with up-to-date and relevant information to meet the needs of your teams. As a Vision user, take some time to explore how these new dashboards will take your business information to a whole new level. A few benefits highlighted by Ellen during the town hall include:

  • Interactive Dashparts
  • Chart, Graph, Table and List Dashparts
  • Multiple Dashboards per User
  • A Library of Pre-configured Dashparts
  • Easily Editable and Configurable Dashboards
  • And much more!

What You Should Do Now

If you haven’t upgraded to Vantagepoint yet, Ellen went through tips for what you should be doing now to prepare including exploring the Vantagepoint Readiness Portal, leveraging a preview or test environment and asking questions.
