Manage More in Navigator 1.9 with new features designed for your project managers

Navigator 1.9 gets us even closer to making Navigator the one-stop shop for all things project management. 

A popular request that we've heard from many customers is the need to view projects and plans at cost amounts, rather than, or in addition to viewing at billing amounts.  Now you can monitor and plan your projects at cost and/or at billing based on the way your company runs the business. New metrics and visual indicators have also been added so you can identify possible issues before they become real problems.


With this release, the project management workspace steps into a new realm of project management – the invoice process.  We've added a new Invoices tab giving project managers a place to become more engaged during the invoicing and collection process.  On the new Invoices tab, you can see client information, review and view all invoices and corresponding documents, monitor outstanding invoices, and track and/or add accounts receivable comments.  We've also added the ability for the PM to get engaged even earlier. If your company is using Invoice Approvals in Vision, project managers can review draft invoices, add comments and then approve or reject the invoice all from within Navigator.


In addition to the exciting new features just mentioned, we've added functionality to honor many new Vision 7.3 features along with other usability improvements including:

  • Compensation breakdown – more accuracy when planning and monitoring projects
  • Work week/period numbers
  • Credit card reconciliation functionality
  • Print expense report receipts
  • Searching project long name
  • Display client name on dashboard
  • And more!

We encourage you to upgrade to Vision 7.3 at the same time as upgrading to Navigator 1.9 to take advantage of the latest and greatest that both tools have to offer.
