The FY 2018 proposed budget released by the White House calls for a drastic reduction in funds allotted to most non-military programs and agencies.
In February, the General Government sector saw a 52% increase in solicitations month over month.
Deltek saw a strong start to the New Year with a 12.9% increase in solicitations released from December. Just about 69% of those bids were related to Professional Services.
December ended the calendar year with a bang. Solicitations were only slightly down from November, by 3.63%, compared to the larger declines seen earlier in the quarter.
November saw a 16 percent decrease in General Government solicitations from October. However, this decrease is to be expected towards the end of the year.
October broke the declining solicitation trend and showed an 8 percent increase over September. The Natural Resources vertical saw almost half of the month’s activity, with 43 percent of the solicitations released.
September saw a decrease in solicitations compared to August. With a 5.5 percent decrease, this continues the trend of decreasing solicitations for the past quarter.
August saw only a slight decrease in the number of solicitations released compared to July, decreasing by 0.2 percent overall. This is the smallest decrease GovWin has seen in the past few months. The Natural Resources vertical saw the most solicitations released.
July continued the trend of decreasing solicitations, with a seven percent decrease compared to June. Professional Services was the higher of the primary requirements, accounting for just about 70 percent of the solicitations released.
