Deltek Pulse: General government services month in review, October 2016
October broke the declining solicitation trend and showed an 8 percent increase over September. The Natural Resources vertical saw almost half of the month’s activity, with 43 percent of the solicitations released. Economic Development followed in second place, with 27 percent of the action. Professional Services activity remained around 70 percent.
Notable Solicitation Releases
The Texas Department of Information Resources saw two high dollar projects released. Solicitation for both the Apple Branded Products and Related Services and Miscellaneous IT Hardware Peripherals Components and Related Services were released in October. Based on the incumbent contracts, Deltek estimates that these contracts may range from $38 - $677 million dollars over the term of the contracts. Proposals for both projects are due by November 17, 2016.

October saw a flurry of award activity in the General Government vertical.
- Virginia awarded the Base Mapping Program to Fugro Geospatial, Inc.
- The Ohio Enterprise Identity Validation Authentication and Fraud Services contract was awarded to Deloitte Consulting LLP.
- North Dakota intends to award the Electronic Payment Card Services contract to Xerox State and Local Solutions.
