August saw a decrease in the number of solicitation releases compared to July, with about 10 percent fewer total solicitations. The Higher Education vertical is producing slightly more solicitations than the Primary/Secondary Education vertical, with Higher Education accounting for 58 percent of total bids released. Professional Services was a primary requirement associated with 66 percent of the solicitations released in August, while Information Technology was a primary requirement associated with 34 percent of bids.

Notable Solicitation Releases

  • The state of South Carolina has a requirement for an Evaluation of State Assessments. The selected vendor will conduct a review and analysis of the development, production, administration, scoring and reporting of results of the grades 3-8 English language arts and mathematics assessment, SC READY, and the end-of-course assessments in English I, Algebra I and Biology. Proposals are due September 20, 2016.
  • The Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) released a solicitation for a Next Generation Science Assessment System for Delaware Learners. DDOE plans to develop the state portions of the science assessment system in two phases. This procurement is the first phase, with the second phase taking place in 2017. Proposals are due September 23, 2016.
  • Arizona State University issued a request for proposals for a Library Services Platform and Discovery Solution. The University seeks a shared solution that can meet the wide variety of Library Services Platform and Discovery needs of its member libraries. Proposals are due September 21, 2016.
