In July 2016, Deltek continued to see a slight decrease in solicitation activity in the Justice and Public Safety market compared to June. The majority of solicitations released were in the categories of Architecture, Engineering and Construction and Professional Services, followed by Information Technology, Food and Sanitary Products and Services, and Operations and Maintenance.

Frequency of terms in solicitations:

  • Camera: 36 (10 state; 26 local)
  • Fire alarm: 56 (21 state; 35 local)
  • Radio: 17 (5 state; 12 local)
  • Surveillance: 18 (6 state; 12 local)
  • CCTV: 16 (4 state; 12 local)

Notable releases in July:

  • The City of Baltimore, Maryland, released a request for proposals (RFP) for a 911 Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) System to implement a full turnkey replacement of the present CPE system. Proposals are due by August 24, 2016.
  • The Mississippi Department of Information Technology Services, on behalf of the Department of Corrections, issued a solicitation for an Inmate Communications System that would provide calling services for inmates housed at various correctional facilities throughout Mississippi. Proposals are due by September 30, 2016.
  • The Alaska Department of Corrections issued an RFP for Electronic Monitoring Equipment and Services in an effort to seek proposals for house arrest electronic monitoring equipment and services to be used in various communities throughout Alaska. Proposals are due August 17, 2016.
