Deltek to Offer Government Contracting Course to Veterans and Active Military as Part of The Summer Accelerator Series

Deltek VP & CLO of Global Talent to teach “Welcome to the Government Market” workshop on August 10 in Alexandria, VA

HERNDON, Va. – August 7, 2015 – Deltek, the leading global provider of enterprise software and information solutions for project-based businesses, recently announced that its VP & CLO of Global Talent, Dan Carusi, has been added to the line-up of free workshops in the Summer Accelerator series. Hosted by The Capitol Post and Bunker Labs DC, the workshops are designed for veterans and veteran spouses, veteran-owned/led businesses and non-profits, active duty military and spouses, and defense contractors. Centered around entrepreneurship and transition, business administration, growth management, and government contracting, the workshops aim to help attendees examine their careers, businesses and life from a new perspective.

Taking place in Alexandria, Virginia, the 15 sessions kicked off in late July and continue through September. Carusi, one of the area’s leading authorities on government contracting, will teach the August 10 workshop Welcome to the Government Market.

In his workshop, Carusi will cover government contracting basics and best practices for doing business with the federal, state and local governments. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of government structure and function, the Federal Acquisition Regulation, the best tools and resources for capture and pipeline management, planning and budgeting, and current market trends and opportunities. In addition to the August 10 workshop, Carusi will offer one-on-one sessions on a first-come, first-serve basis.
