2. Make sure everyone knows that the change is positive and will benefit them personally
What’s in it for the employee? You need to make your team aware of the benefits of the change and also be clear in communicating the consequences and risks of not accepting the change.
3. Create the burning platform, urgency that people can rally around and get excited about
Encourage insatiable curiosity across all facets of the organization. Curiosity is what opens people’s minds, allows them to try new things, questions everything and sets them on the course to becoming life-long learners.
4. Sustain the behavior of change
Be vocal in recognising and celebrating the success that is the outcome from doing things differently.
Change is not easy and can be scary for leaders as well as employees. However, developing and executing on the right plan by focusing on people first before process and toolsets, will result in success at the end of the journey for both the organisation and employee.
