Deltek Wins Third Consecutive CLO Learning In Practice Award from Chief Learning Officer Magazine

Deltek VP and Chief Learning Officer Daniel Carusi wins Silver CLO Learning In Practice Award for his accomplishments applying emerging technologies for employee education

Herndon, Va. – November 10, 2014 – Deltek, Deltek, the leading global provider of enterprise software and information solutions for professional services firms and government contractors, recently announced that its vice president and Chief Learning Officer Daniel Carusi, has been awarded an esteemed Learning In Practice Award from Chief Learning Officer magazine. Carusi received the Silver Technology Award for accomplishments in delivering new and unique applications of emerging technology to drive effective employee education.

The 2014 Learning In Practice Awards were announced at a special awards ceremony during the Fall 2014 Chief Learning Officer Symposium in Carlsbad, California. This event attracted more than 300 top corporate learning executives from around the world to discuss long-term learning strategies for creating and sustaining high performance. The awards are presented annually to individual learning practitioners, executives and organizations that have helped its own employee-base or clients and customers enhance performance and meet business objectives through outstanding learning initiatives. Deltek was chosen as a winner in 2012, 2013 and 2014 by CLO Magazine.

Deltek University VP and Chief Learning Officer Dan Carusi was awarded the Silver CLO Learning In Practice Award for successfully leveraging Kona – Deltek’s social collaboration tool – for employee education. During 2014, Deltek launched several leadership development programs to discover, equip and engage its globally dispersed leaders. Carusi utilized the collaborative power of Kona as a Social Learning platform to Deltek’s geographically dispersed employee base.

"The Learning In Practice Awards recognize transformational and visionary leaders in enterprise education," said Mike Prokopeak, editor-in-chief of Human Capital Media, which publishes Chief Learning Officer magazine. "This year, we received more than 200 nominations across 15 categories, and our panel of expert judges has determined these finalists are the industry leaders who truly champion innovation and transform it into value for their organizations."

“The Kona platform allows Deltek’s globally dispersed leaders to collaborate and communicate through shared tasks, files and conversations,” said Brian Daniell, SVP of Customer Care at Deltek. “Dan used Kona in an innovative way to drive user adoption and engagement and led the charge to ‘connect the dots’ between learning and development to Deltek products. Congratulations to Dan and the entire Deltek University team for being recognized for this prestigious award.”

Carusi and the other 2014 Learning In Practice Award winners will be featured in a special report supplement to the December issue of Chief Learning Officer magazine. For more information about the awards, visit CLOmedia.com/learning-in-practice.
