Technical Overview

Security is highly important in a project management portal. Used on various top security defense programs, WelcomHome™ provides extremely tight security comprised of two levels:

System security

• Access to WelcomHome is closely controlled on a named user basis. Encrypted user information, support for Secure Socket Layer (SSL) across a network, and integration with other security systems such as LDAP or Active Directory all help to ensure both strict security of data and ease of administration.

Application security

• Once logged in to WelcomHome, a role-based security system determines which types of information can be viewed and updated by individuals or groups. Users can inherit different roles across different projects. Users, groups, and roles are administered centrally through WelcomHome’s Web-based interface.
