Deltek wInsight Administrator

Deltek wInsight Administrator is used to perform database management functions related to wInsight databases. Typically, a central program control group operates Deltek wInsight Administrator to load initial project/contract information and to perform recurring updates of performance measurement data to support analysis via Deltek wInsight and/or wInsight Web clients. Virtually all initial setup and recurring data can be loaded electronically using an ANSI X12 839 or XML transfer file. Further, the wInsight Administrator provides the ability to manually enter/adjust all data, develop user-defined fields and formulae, generate government standard cost reports, export data in the ANSI X12 839 format, and maintain user access/security rights.

Key features of the Deltek wInsight Administrator include:

• Contract Setup — Manually or electronically enter information related to the project 1) work breakdown structure (WBS), 2) Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS), 3) initial contract/project data, and 4) management exception thresholds (manual update only).
• Recurring Data Entry — Manually or electronically enter information related to period based (e.g., weekly, monthly, specified period) performance data such as planned, earned, actual and estimates. Earned value data can be entered and tracked in dollars and/or hours.
• Merge wInsight Projects for Master Project Database — Merge various projects/contracts in to one master project to support consolidated reporting of teams.
• Recalculation of the Database — Process the raw performance data to generate current period values, summary data, forecasts, and other data for quick analysis and access.
• Export/Report Data at Summary Levels — Generate ANSI X12 839 electronic data transfer (EDI) file with the industry's most flexible tool for defining the level of data exported for the WBS and OBS. The export utility provides a visual approach for identifying the level at which each leg of the WBS/OBS will be exported.
• User Defined Fields and Formulae — Generate user-defined fields and formulae that will display in wInsight sort windows, filters, and charts.
• Generation of CPR & C/SSR Formats — Generate government standard CPR and C/SSR formats with the industry's most flexible tool for defining the level of data displayed for the WBS and OBS. The reporting tool provides a visual approach for identifying the level at which each leg of the WBS/OBS will be displayed.
• Backup/Restore of Database — Perform database backup and restore operations on a single project, selected project, or all projects.
• wInsight Access/Security Maintenance — Define user access on a project by project basis as either read-write, read only, or no access. Access within a project or projects can be further limited based upon user defined filters.
