EVM for Microsoft^® Project

Project Connect for Deltek wInsight is an add-on product for Microsoft^® Project that provides an entry-level earned value and integrated information system for Microsoft Project users. Project Connect transfers earned value data from Microsoft Project to wInsight for storing, sharing and analyzing project performance data.

Deltek wInsight is widely used by the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Energy (DOE), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and commercial industry to manage complex projects. wInsight allows managers to quickly identify problem areas, assess performance trends, and review statistical estimates at completion.

Microsoft Project is a powerful tool to plan and manage projects. It allows the development of time-phased resources for each task and supports time-phased rate tables for each resource. With these new features, Microsoft Project can calculate an accurate performance measurement baseline (or plan).

Project Connect provides enhanced earned value techniques and the ability to enter physical percent complete, resulting in more accurate earned value data. Project Connect then transfers all of the performance data to wInsight for management review, analysis and reporting. The combination of Microsoft Project, Project Connect and wInsight provides a powerful tool set to assess project performance, identify problem areas, generate estimates at completion and share data with the entire project management team.
