- Within Deltek to our related corporate entities
- Cookies and Other Technologies
We may use "cookies" to keep, and occasionally track, information about you on our Sites. While our Cookie Policy contains a more-detailed explanation, these technologies are generally small bits of code embedded in pages or images in our Deltek Sites and e-mails that allow us to remember information about your interactions with us.
In addition to cookies, we may also use other tracking technologies such as web beacons (a.k.a. clear GIFs, web bugs or pixel tags) to personalize your experience on the Sites, to generate information about Site traffic and trends, to deliver targeted advertising, and to verify your viewing and/or receipt of communications. Web beacons collect information automatically, such as the type of browser that you use and your IP address.
You may opt out of our use of optional cookies and other tracking technologies for targeted advertising purposes or for other purposes considered data “sharing” or “selling” under applicable privacy laws by navigating to the “Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information” link in the footer of our website or clicking through the option in the banner that appears when you first visit our website or by using a Universal Opt-Out Mechanism like Global Privacy Control. Please review our Cookie Policy for more information on the types of cookies we use, how we use them, and your choices related to cookies.
Refusing a cookie or other tracking technology will generally not interfere with your use of the Sites. However, refusal of a cookie or other tracking technology may, in some cases, preclude you from using or negatively impact the display or function of the Sites or certain areas or features of the Sites.
Please note that we require the use of certain mandatory cookies that may collect and receive your information, including information relating to your usage of the website and content you submit or share during your visit, for website functionality, performance, analytics, and other business purposes, including the technologies described in the “Third Party Analytics and Similar Trackers” below.
Third Party Analytics and Similar Trackers
We use automated devices and applications, such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to evaluate usage of our Sites. We also may use other analytic means to evaluate our Sites and Services. We use these tools to help us improve the Sites, performance, and user experiences. We also use these tools to help gather marketing insights that we may use to market our Services. These entities may use cookies and other tracking technologies to perform their services. To learn how Google Analytics collects and processes data, please visit: “How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps” located at www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, please visit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/privacy/privacystatement.
How We Respond to Do Not Track Signals
Some web browsers (including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome) incorporate a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") feature that signals to websites that a user does not want to have his or her online activity and behavior tracked. If a website that responds to a particular DNT signal receives the DNT signal, the browser can block that website from collecting certain information about the browser's user. Not all browsers offer a DNT option and DNT signals are not yet uniform. For this reason, many digital service operators, including Deltek, do not recognize or respond to DNT signals.
How We Respond to the Global Privacy Control
Depending on where you live, we recognize the “Global Privacy Control” (GPC) to allow you to opt out of the sale of your Personal Information and the sharing of your Personal Information for targeted advertising. The GPC is a proposed specification designed to allow Internet users to notify businesses of their privacy preferences, such as whether or not they want their Personal Information to be sold or shared. To learn more about the GPC and how you can use it to opt out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information, you can visit their website here. If you visit our website with a browser transmitting GPC from a jurisdiction that requires us to recognize GPC signals, we will not share your Personal Information for targeted advertising or sell your Personal Information associated with your visit.
- Legal Basis for Processing
Where applicable under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) or similar laws, the legal basis for our collection and use of your Personal Information may include the following:
- Performance of a contract. We process your Personal Information as necessary to perform our obligations under any contract with you, such as to provide our Sites or Services to you or complete transactions.
- Consent. We may ask for your consent to use your Personal Information, including if we need your consent to process certain information about you or engage in certain marketing activities. If we obtain your consent as a legal basis for processing, you may withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests. We have a legitimate interest in using your Personal Information for our business purposes, including operating, improving, and marketing our business, Sites, and Services.
- Compliance with a legal obligation. We may need to use your Personal Information to comply with applicable legal requirements.
- Marketing Opt-Out
You may choose how and whether to receive promotional or marketing communications from us. At any time, you can manage your communication preferences via the Email Preference Center or you may unsubscribe from receiving such communications by utilizing the “unsubscribe” or opt-out feature within the communication. Requests to unsubscribe from Deltek communications may also be made by contacting Deltek via the methods indicated in “Contact Us.”
Because we plan our communications in advance, it may take up to 5 business days for your “unsubscribe” request to become effective. If you continue to receive our communications after submitting an “unsubscribe” request, please let us know by contacting us using one of the methods listed in the “Contact Us” Section so that we can investigate the situation. Please note that we may continue to send transactional or service-related messages to you and that you may not submit an “unsubscribe” request on behalf of someone else.
- Data Security
We have implemented reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. We also take reasonable steps designed to ensure that our third-party service providers agree to protect Personal Information. However, please be aware that no method of electronically transmitting or storing information is ever completely secure. For more information on security related to our products and the Services, please see our Security and Trust page.
- Retention
We retain Personal Information for the length of time needed to carry out the processing purposes described in the Privacy Policy. We also retain Personal Information for related business purposes, security, legal compliance, and disputes and claims handling, consistent with our retention policy and as permitted by applicable law. In determining when your Personal Information is retained or disposed, we may consider the nature and sensitivity of your Personal Information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your Personal Information, the purposes for which we process your Personal Information, and applicable legal requirements.
