Deltek Appoints Claus Thorsgaard as Executive Vice President and General Manager of its Professional Services Business Unit

Herndon, Va. – February 22, 2012 – Deltek, Inc. (Nasdaq: PROJ), the leading global provider of enterprise software and information solutions for professional services firms and government contractors, has appointed Claus Thorsgaard as Executive Vice President and General Manager of its Professional Services business unit. In this position, Thorsgaard is responsible for managing Deltek's Professional Services business worldwide and oversees sales and marketing for Deltek's Vision, Maconomy, and People Planner solutions. He is also responsible for managing Deltek's services offerings in support of application sales. Prior to his new role, Thorsgaard was SVP and COO of Deltek’s professional services business unit.
Claus Thorsgaard is a proven sales and marketing executive with 17 years of experience holding leadership positions in professional services and enterprise software companies. Before joining Deltek as part of its Maconomy acquisition in July 2010, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Maconomy, an enterprise software company based in Denmark. During his tenure at Maconomy, Thorsgaard was responsible for managing the P&L across Maconomy's global offices and had responsibility for corporate marketing, global sales, global consulting, and customer support.
Prior to working at Maconomy, he ran sales and marketing for Siemens Business Services and was the CEO of two fast-growing management consulting firms. Thorsgaard started his career at Ernst & Young, becoming a partner in charge of the company's Enterprise Solutions business unit.
